No Tip, No Trip — How Not Tipping Will Prevent Your Food Order From Not Being Being Delivered

Not tipping isn’t something new; however, it’s becoming more common. I’m sure that the economy has a part in it. But not tipping is an actual disservice when requesting food to be delivered.
More delivery drivers are speaking out on the influx of no-tip orders. It has also brought negative attention to certain delivery services when those who accepted a no-tip order are caught acting out negatively. Not all drivers act in this manner, but many bad apples are spoiling the whole lot and will soon ruin a form of income for most.
Why I Tip
I’ve always been in the habit of tipping servers and delivery drivers. I understand that they don’t make nearly enough to get by. I have respect for them and have been in their shoes. They are also in charge of bringing customers their food, and what better way to acknowledge and thank them than by leaving them a monetary tip.
Most places add the 20% tip to the bill; if not, the respective quantity to add is 20%. However, I always add a bit more. I feel a dollar tip or a handful of pocket change is rude, in my opinion. I usually tip $5 if I’m only spending $10 or less and then increase my tip the more I…
